Users can perform a variety of tasks using the Menu Maintenance toolbar. Several basic tasks, such as changing the displayed section and saving menu changes, are explained in detail below.
The Change Section button allows the user to select a menu to view. When the Change Section button is clicked, the user will be redirected to the Sign On/Home Menus screen. From the Sign On/Home Menus screens users can select a menu to edit. Users can edit only one menu at a time. If any changes have been made to the current menu, the user will be prompted to save, discard or cancel all changes before editing another menu.
The Save/Delete menu allows users to save all changes, save button changes, or delete a button. The Save All option saves all menu changes, including all buttons. The Save Button option saves changes made to one button or a group of selected buttons. The Delete Button options removes one button, or a group of buttons, from the menu.
The icon will appear over a button to indicate changes have not been saved. Select a save option to save any changes.
Users can add or edit Sell Item buttons using the Actions menu. The Edit Item(s) button will be displayed if the sell item button selected from the menu has already been configured. If the button has not been configured, the Add Item(s) button will be displayed. The appropriate Select Item to Sell dialog will appear when a button has been selected and the Add Item(s) or Edit Item(s) button has been clicked. The Actions Menu is shown below.
The Alpha Descend and Alpha Ascend buttons will reorder selected buttons alphabetically. The Alpha Descend button will reorder the selected buttons, alphabetically in descending order (Z-A), placing the first button in the upper left corner of the menu. The Alpha Ascend button will reorder the selected buttons, alphabetically in ascending order (A-Z), placing the first button in the upper left corner of the menu.
The Button Security Menu allows the user to place restrictions on a button or a group of buttons on a menu. Users can enable the Ask for Supervisor ID option to prompt for a Supervisor ID on the Front End or configure the Min Security Level to limit the number of employees who can access the selected button functions.
